Join us for our inaugural program featuring Caroline Sayan, Co-Founder of Art Market Mentors, a group focused on supporting workers in the arts through strategic mentorship. An unwavering advocate for women's leadership, Caroline will also discuss her founding the Christie's Women's Leadership Network, her passion and philanthropic endeavors with Dress For Success Northern New Jersey and her twenty-five year career as a global executive responsible for game-changing business initiatives that transformed the art market.

Caroline Sayan is a global executive who has been responsible for game changing business initiatives for growth and transformation in the art market. By combining her art and business education, Caroline has consistently been at the forefront of creating the building blocks that enabled international art market expansion over the last 25 years. During Caroline’s tenure at Christie’s, she designed and launched bespoke financial services, instigated the globalization and growth strategies of auction, private and retail sales channels and was an early adapter and leader in digital sales and client engagement. Caroline has extensive knowledge of the Asian art and luxury market and while living and working in China, oversaw the opening of the China market to western art auctions. During her career, Caroline was also a key figure in building the 20th Century art market and was integral in the sale of many collections most notably the Collection of Peggy and David Rockefeller raising over $800million for charities and the Leonardo di Vinci rediscovered painting of “Salvator Mundi” that sold for $450million, the highest paid price for a single work of art at auction. A longtime advocate for women’s leadership, Caroline founded Christie’s Women’s Leadership Network in 2005 with a goal of creating advocacy and support for women to achieve long-term success in the art market. A supporter of the arts community and an active mentor over her career, in 2020 Caroline co-founded Art Market Mentors a group focused on supporting workers in the arts through strategic mentorship during the pandemic. Most recently, Caroline has returned to her passion for supporting women’s leadership as the Board President for Dress for Success Northern New Jersey. In this role, Caroline is leveraging her business and women’s leadership experience to build a long-term strategy to grow their ability to help women with suiting, job readiness and career skills development. This fall, Caroline will be honored in the Top 25 Leading Women in New Jersey for her outstanding work with Dress for Success Northern New Jersey. Caroline has an undergraduate degree in Art History and an MBA in International Business. Caroline is a regular speaker, lecturer, panelist, and moderator on topics relating to the overall art market, women’s leadership, non-profit management, and art related investment.
