Join Yulia Topchiy, contemporary art curator and founder of the Assembly Room, for a discussion on how they are transitioning from a brick and mortar to a nomadic space with online programming. Yulia will speak on how Assembly Room is continuing to support their artists and curators, and the importance of community and connection during this difficult time.

Yulia Topchiy is a curator of contemporary art and founder of Assembly Room. Assembly Room is a woman-centered organization dedicated to the professional advancement of female identified, independent curators. Independent of her role at Assembly Room, she is an active curator and a specialist in online strategy and private sales. Yulia specializes in art curation, public programming initiatives, partnerships, event production, and performances, with a passion for creating intimate, immersive, and engaging experiences. She has organized exhibitions and programs at The NARS Foundation, Dutton, SPRING/BREAK ART Shows, Detroit Art Week, Art Alliance at Manny Cantor Center, A.I.R. Gallery, among other spaces. Yulia has experience working in the auction, gallery, and online marketplace sectors and has worked at Phillips, Paddle8, and Artsy. She currently runs the US division of Finarta, an online selling platform for art.
