Linda Selvin is the Executive Director of the Appraisers Association of America, the premier association of personal property appraisers who focus on fine and decorative arts and collectables. Linda has 30 years of experience in the visual arts and association management. She began her career as Gallery Manager of the Newhouse Center for Contemporary Art, and went on to become the Program Officer at the Pollock-Krasner Foundation, distributing funds internationally to artists of both merit and need. For 10 years, she served as the Executive Director of the New York Branch of the International Dyslexia Association. Linda holds a Bachelor of Science from Wagner College and a Masters in Public Administration from Baruch College, CUNY. She has been a guest lecturer nationally and internationally and is a member of the Personal Property Issues Committee of The Appraisal Foundation and is past Chair of The Appraisal Foundation’s Advisory Council based in Washington D.C. Linda is also a member of ArtTable, and from 2011-2013, she was the Chair of the Board of Directors for the Robert Louis Stevenson School and from 2009-2011, she was the President of the Executive Women’s Golf Association, New York Chapter.
Betty Krulik has 45 years of experience in the handling of American and European 19th and 20th Century art. She began her 8 year career at Christies in 1977, eventually heading the Paintings Department at Christie's East where she handled as much as 1000 lots per month. In 1996 she joined Spanierman Gallery to focus on high end American Art, where she spent 15 years developing the department of Works on Paper, curating exhibitions of the works of artists; William Merritt Chase, Willard Leroy Metcalf and Arthur Wesley Dow. In 2001, she joined Phillips to head their American Art Department. She began her own business in 2004, in the past 15 years she has sold to and on behalf of major collectors and museums around the nation. She has acted as appraiser for corporate and institutional collections as well as private collectors.
Nancy Harrison is a Partner and the Senior Fine Art Specialist at Emigrant Bank Fine Art Finance and its subsidiary, Fine Art Asset Management. Prior to joining the company in 2006, she was a Senior Vice President at Sotheby’s for 25+ years and later the founder and President of her own art advisory firm. She is a Certified Appraiser with expertise in valuing Old Masters, Modern, and Contemporary and Emerging Art. Additionally, she is a USPAP-compliant Appraiser (Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice), the federally-mandated guidelines endorsed by The Appraisal Foundation (Washington D.C.) and by the U.S. Congress. Ms. Harrison is a past President of the Appraisers Association of America (AAA), the oldest and most prestigious professional organization of personal property appraisers, and is currently a member of its Board of Directors and co-chair of the Development Committee. She is a member of the Association of Professional Art Advisors (APAA) and has been qualified as an Expert Witness on art valuation matters in New York, Pennsylvania, and Federal Tax Court, as well as provided expertise for Florida courts. She is a frequent lecturer and has taught at NYU’s School of Professional Studies. She is a graduate of Vassar College with a BA in Art History and an MA from Hunter College Graduate Division.
