Racial Empathy Training with Kinswomen

Thursday, August 13, 12:00PM EST

Kinswomen, a podcast and platform aimed at bridging the gaps between white women and women of color, will host a conversation with POWarts members on how blind spots and bias show up within the art world, and provide ways to create more racial empathy on an individual, interpersonal, and professional level.

Yseult Polfliet is from the Rwandan diaspora and grew up in Brussels. She is the co-founder of YOAH New York, a gender-free children’s clothing brand. Hannah Pechter Summerhill is a white woman who has worked in magazines and media for the past decade. Yseult and Hannah started hosting conversations on race in Hannah’s living room, and decided to bring the discussion to a wider audience with the Kinswomen Podcast. They facilitate honest, compassionate conversations about race and racism.
