Hope Azeda, Founder and Artistic Director, Mashirika Performing Arts and Media Company, is joined by Gloria Karengera, Co-Founder, Ubumuntu Arts Organization. These colleagues and friends will share their experiences in public engagement, and the role of consistency and discipline in building their career in the arts.

Hope Azeda is the Founder and Artistic Director of Mashirika Performing Arts and Media Company, a leading theatre company in Rwanda. She is also the curator of Ubumuntu Arts Festival. Azeda has been an artist in residence at the Institute for the Arts and Civic Dialogue in Cambridge Massachusetts, a member of the Lincoln Center Theater Directors Lab and a fellow of the Africa Leadership Initiative ALI-ASPEN-Institute).
Gloria Karengera is located in Kigali City, Rwanda, and the Co-Founder of the Ubumuntu Arts Organization. She is a former performer of Mashirika Performing Arts Company, founded by Hope Azeda. Gloria is in-house legal counsel for the Development Bank of Rwanda.
