Join us for the second meeting of the POWarts Book Club, featuring a conversation with author Siri Hustvedt about her new book A Woman Looking at Men Looking at Women. A compelling and radical collection of essays on art, feminism, neuroscience, psychology, and philosophy, this is Hustvedt’s first work of non-fiction.
The evening’s discussion will focus on the first of the book’s three sections, which investigates the perceptual and gender biases that affect how we judge art, literature, and the world in general. Among the many figures considered are Louise Bourgeois, Susan Sontag, Robert Mapplethorpe, and the Guerrilla Girls.
