Join us for a meeting of the POWarts Book Club, featuring a conversation with author Rachel Corbett about her debut book You Must Change Your Life: The Story of Rainer Maria Rilke and Auguste Rodin. The book recounts the remarkable friendship of two extraordinary artists at the dawn of modernism. The Times Literary Supplement calls it “a beautiful exercise in compact, interwoven double biography.”

Rachel Corbett is the author of You Must Change Your Life: The Story of Rainer Maria Rilke and Auguste Rodin, which won the 2016 Marfield Prize, the National Award for Arts Writing. Translations are forthcoming in German, Czech, Turkish, Korean, Serbian and Russian. She has also written for The New Yorker, the New York Times, The Art Newspaper, New York magazine, and is currently deputy editor at artnet News.
